Slipping and Tripping Claims

We have wide experience of acting for those who have injured themselves in a slip or trip at work, after slipping in a shop, or after tripping in the street.   

If you have been injured in such a fall, then we will need to gather as much information about what it was that caused you to fall. It will be necessary to record the site with photographs and to trace and speak to witnesses of your fall so as to prepare your case thoroughly from the outset.

We shall then be able to advise you on whether you are likely to recover compensation and advise you in general terms, how much.

We are prepared to fight for our client’s compensation. In a recent case our client tripped on an area of uneven pavement as she walked home.  She suffered a nasty fracture to her arm and needed several operations. The local council, who were responsible for maintaining the pavement, said that they were not to blame as they had regularly inspected the pavement and that there were no problems with the pavement when they last inspected. We did not accept this and the case went to trial. The Judge found that the council’s highway inspectors had not inspected the pavement carefully enough. Our client won her case and substantial compensation.

However, most cases do not go to trial and we are able to obtain compensation for our clients through negotiation, and sometimes through mediation.  We aim to make the compensation process as smooth for our clients as possible.
